Our data service includes
software to download the daily trading data for each exchange and
automatically maintain a historic database for share splits, name changes
and other changes to the capital structure of a company. This ensures that
your analysis is based on comparable data, where years of historic data is
back-adjusted for changes that effect the capital structure and, therefore
the share price, of a company.
The automatic adjustment
system is integral to the service we provide and the value we add as your
data supplier, although the adjustments themselves are based on the official
information provided by the relevant Exchange.
Corporate Actions
We also use the electronic information
from the relevant Exchange to create an electronic file which is downloaded
with your daily trading data. The file contains information that
automatically updates your database for adjustments such as:

The Importance of
Adjusted Data
During the
course of stock market analysis, many adjustments to the data are required
to ensure accurate and informed charting. These adjustments can include
share splits, bonus issues, capital reconstructions, mergers and name
changes to mention a few.
Using data that is not
adjusted can lead to poor decisions and costly mistakes. To see

Real-time Snapshot
Data
In addition to end-of-day data,
there is also the
Real-time Snapshot
service. This facility can provide up-to-date price information on selected
ASX and LSE stocks and indices, including individual market depth
information.
The primary benefit of our
SnapShot service is the ability to update your database with intra-day data
as if it were end-of-day information. You can then analyse the
information in your charting software to make trading decisions while the
market is open.
